Senior Accounting Professional

EM4, a Luminar Company, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior GL Accountant to join our team in Bedford, MA. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects, collaborating cross-functionally, and championing role ownership and partnership.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare customer invoices, apply cash receipts, and follow up on collections.
- Process vendor invoices, perform 3-way match before payment, and reconcile vendor statements.
- Set up payments, perform monthly cash and bank reconciliations, and reconcile T&E corporate credit cards.
- Prepare payroll journal entries based on reports from the HR/Payroll team.
- Perform monthly accruals and provide Cost Accounting Support as needed.
- Prepare month-end close deliverables, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses.
- Execute internal controls relating to Procure to Pay and Order to Cash processes.
- Respond to audit requests and interface with internal and external auditors.
- Participate in ERP implementation projects and identify, develop, and implement process improvements to achieve efficiencies and scalability.
- Continuously improve compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Knowledge and/or experience of Procure to Pay and Order to Cash processes.
- 2+ years of demonstrable and relevant Accounting or Finance experience - GL Acct.
- 4+ years of demonstrable and relevant Accounting or Finance experience - Sr GL Acct.
- Close process experience is required.
- SYSPRO experience is preferred.
- QuickBooks and Oracle are required.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP and SOX regulations are required.
- Advanced and demonstrable Excel experience is required.
- Ability to push, pull, or lift 10 pounds.
