Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Teller to join our team at Susser Bank. As a Senior Teller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing a variety of banking transactions, and assisting Branch Management with the overall operations of the teller line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform more complex teller work requiring a higher degree of judgment and expertise.
  • Work the drive-through window, requiring a greater proficiency and experience.
  • Recognize and develop opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services.
  • Answer teller inquiries regarding non-routine and exception items.
  • Initiate adjusting entries to correct bank and customer errors, verify teller cash discrepancies, and audit other tellers as required.
  • Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed accordingly.
  • Balance the Teller's GL daily and ensure Tellers remain within their cash limits throughout the day.
  • Review Night Drop Log to ensure process is completed in dual control and all policies and procedures are followed.
  • Review Debit Card Inventory Log, Camera Log, Vault Entry Log, and Daily Balancing Log.
  • Order cash and prepare outgoing shipments for the vault.
  • Ensure banking center is fully stocked with supplies needed for day-to-day operations.
  • Order supplies for the branch as needed.
  • Review Key Box Entry Log and create the schedule for the teller line.
  • Collect information for operation audits with support of Branch Management and/or complete audit information as needed.
  • Open and close customer accounts, including checking, savings, CD, safe deposit box, and IRA.
  • Provide customer services such as cashing checks, receiving deposits, making withdrawals, receiving loan payments, money transfers, online banking, etc.
  • Balance cash drawer daily.
  • Process cashier's check and debit card requests.
  • Adjust debit card limits and process debit card exceptions reports.
  • Assist in counting money shipments.
  • Wrap and bag coin, verify currency, mix new currency, and turn-in mutilated currency.
  • Process various night-drop and mail transactions as needed.
  • Sort and send out monthly statements and loan payments.
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, answering phones, maintaining supplies, building reports, preparing outgoing mail, etc.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to Susser Bank customers and employees.
  • Understand and agree to abide by the policies and procedures established by Susser Bank.
  • Perform duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of pertinent information and records.
  • Maintain current and up-to-date knowledge and continue professional development through training as applicable.
  • Demonstrate a courteous, pleasant, self-motivated, and dependable behavior. Maintain a professional environment in both appearance and conduct.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or directed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Minimum 5 years teller experience.
  • Skills and Abilities Required:
    • Job Knowledge/Technical Knowledge: Computer (Microsoft Office, Jack Henry, Xperience, Silverlake, Synergy, 4Sight, Deluxe, Centrix, Q2 Portal, Sales Force), Copier, Printer, Money Counter.
    • Accuracy, attention to details, organizational skills.
    • Strong customer service skills and good verbal communication skills.
    • Analytical skills, problem-solving, good time management, and multi-tasking skills.
    • Cooperation/Teamwork and patience in dealing with customers.
