About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nurse Aide to join our team at Parkwood Healthcare. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Complete and document shift assignments as assigned, reporting to the nursing supervisor if unable to complete tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, Department Heads, and the Director of Nursing as needed.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
  • Document ADLs in Matrix POC by the end of every shift.
  • Administer treatments, perform tests, and collect specimens as instructed.
  • Record observations and results of treatments, tests, and procedures when indicated.
  • Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed.
  • Respond promptly to signal lights.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment, including changing bed linens and making beds.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One (1) year experience working as a CNA/PCA/HHA/RA preferred.
  • MUST have current TX license for Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).
