Job SummaryThe Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care services to patients of all ages, including invasive and non-invasive ventilator management, airway management, and aerosol medication administration. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Provide respiratory care services to patients, including ventilator management, airway management, and aerosol medication administration
- Conduct pulmonary function tests and analyze blood gas samples
- Participate in code blue and rapid response situations
- Support neonatal resuscitation efforts at high-risk infant deliveries
- Transport ventilator patients and provide respiratory-focused patient teaching
- 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy (preferred)
- Associate's degree in respiratory therapy (required)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (required)
- NC Respiratory Care Practitioner certification (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required) within 1 year of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required) within 1 year of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required) within 1 year of hire
