Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Inpatient Rehabilitation Specialist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, relieve pain, and increase strength in patients suffering from disease or injury. This role requires a cost-conscious, quality-focused, and customer-oriented approach, with compliance to all applicable regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, plans of care, goals, and discharge plans for patients.
  • Establish a plan of care in conjunction with patients and/or family members, incorporating realistic discharge plans.
  • Implement physical therapy treatment plans, selecting appropriate activities to progress patients towards goals.
  • Revises goals and plans of care with patient and/or family input, providing ongoing education and training.
  • Document evaluations, plans of care, and treatment sessions according to departmental guidelines and protocols.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
