Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a key member of our HR function, you will be responsible for supporting the business and our associates in various areas, including associate relations, HR training, legal compliance, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure consistent application of Company HR policies.
- Coach associates and management through complex issues, providing guidance on disciplinary action and assisting with investigations.
- Oversee hourly recruitment and onboarding through MyOpportunity.
- Maintain and coordinate associate recognition programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
- Run and review HR activity reports, support internal customer surveys, and interpret associate engagement survey feedback.
- Attend department manager meetings, conduct training, and implement HR initiatives.
- Review pay increase requests, process status changes, and prepare HR-related training.
- Act as diversity champion, leading tasks and activities, including diversity recruiting, retention, and promotion goals.
- Assist in creating Personal Development Plans and participate in the Annual Performance Appraisal process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field (strongly preferred).
- PHR certification (a plus).
- Three plus years of human resources coordinator or generalist experience (preferred).
- Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills (advanced skills preferred).
- Experience responding to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or the business community.
- Strong presentation skills required.
- Training certification (a plus).
