Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join our team at Central Oregon Community College. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting the recruitment and hiring process, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the recruitment process for multiple positions, including scheduling interviews and onboarding new employees.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide timely and accurate support via email and phone.
  • Use technology to verify and update employee records, including personnel evaluations and benefits information.
  • Work collaboratively with the HR team to improve processes and procedures, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Education, or related field.
  • Two years of comprehensive office experience, with a focus on organization, teamwork, and interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a Human Resources office or department, with a focus on recruitment and hiring.
  • Knowledge of HRIS software programs, such as PeopleAdmin or PeopleSoft.
  • Experience working in an academic or higher education environment.
