We are currently seeking an Automation Systems Engineer to join our team. This role necessitates proven expertise in deploying automation solutions utilizing PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA technologies.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Project Management:
    • Identifying, prioritizing, and scheduling tasks while taking personal responsibility for meeting commitments
    • Proactively addressing issues and resolving conflicts
    • Collaborating under the guidance of seasoned engineers
    • Implementing continuous improvement practices, including methodologies, lessons learned, and efficiency tools to enhance project execution
    • Maintaining regular communication and interaction with clients
  • Ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and codes related to the project(s)
  • Engaging in technical documentation such as project definitions, status reports, process control sequences, standard operating procedures, and customer correspondence
  • Providing engineering design, development, and implementation support, including software (DCS/PLC, HMI, etc.) and assisting the lead engineer with hardware engineering and systems design
  • Facilitating factory/site acceptance testing, user acceptance testing, and user training
  • Programming control logic, constructing graphics, and configuring databases
  • Reading, interpreting, and updating technical documents, drawings, and specifications relevant to automation projects, including PFDs, P&IDs, and I/O lists
  • Managing projects to deliver solutions that consistently exceed client expectations, are timely, and remain within budget
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Education: BA/BS degree in engineering or a related field (Electrical, Chemical, Controls, or Computer Engineering preferred). Technical degrees with equivalent experience may be considered
    • Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in process control, manufacturing, or information services
    • Experience with PLC, DCS, and/or SCADA/HMI design, development, and deployment
    • Strong leadership and client relationship skills
    • Proficient in engineering practices and documentation. Familiarity with collaboration tools (such as SharePoint) for effective remote teamwork
    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; SharePoint experience is a plus
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients and project leadership
    • Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel as required
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Diverse industry knowledge, including Oil & Gas and Chemicals
    • Experience with Honeywell DCS programming (Experion PKS/LX/HS preferred)
    • Experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix programming (PlantPAx preferred)
    • Familiarity with SCADA/HMI systems (ICONICS or Wonderware preferred)
    • Experience in checkout, testing, startup, and commissioning

Physical Requirements:
Normal vision capabilities for design tasks. Ability to hear and follow directions, full dexterity of hands for computer usage, and the ability to move around to complete assignments and meet deadlines.
