We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Server to join our team at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. As a Server, you will be the face of our restaurant and responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Interact with guests to take drink and food orders
- Communicate with the kitchen for food ordering
- Ensure prompt delivery of food to the guest's table
- Have working knowledge of liquor, beer, wine, and food served
- Suggest pairings of food to wine or beer; additional menu items, specials, or promotions to enhance the dining experience
- Handle all checks and cash according to procedures
- Ensure cleanliness of the restaurant, including polished flatware, clean glassware, and plates
- Be familiar with all property amenities
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, stewards, bussers, hostess, and other servers to ensure smooth service while maintaining a positive work environment.
Marginal Functions- Breaking down and resetting non-food and beverage areas
- General side work, including but not limited to cleaning, polishing, and vacuuming
- Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager on duty
- Help in other areas of the restaurant, including hostess, steward, or other
Work in an indoors, dimly lit, carpeted, and climate-controlled environment. Handle hot plates, glasses, and silverware. Outdoors, work on cement surfaces with exposure to outdoor climate and elements.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One year of restaurant or event service experience required
- Wine, Beer, Specialty Drink, and Food experience required
- High volume experience
- Good food and service knowledge
- Extensive wine knowledge
- Pleasant, outgoing, engaging personality
- Excellent communication skills
- RBS certificate and San Bernardino County Food Handler's Certificate required or must be obtained
- Must be able to adhere to a flexible working schedule
