The Regional Superintendent of Instruction will be responsible for leading instructional programs and managing regional operations to drive academic success and excellence at Uncommon Schools North Star Academy. This role requires a seasoned educator with a proven track record of leadership and a passion for closing the achievement gap.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement academic programs that meet the needs of our diverse student population;">
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Principals, teachers, and other school staff to ensure effective instructional practices;">
  • Develop and manage regional budgets and resources to support academic programs and initiatives;">
  • Provide coaching and support to Principals to enhance their instructional leadership skills;">
  • Analyze data to inform instructional decisions and drive continuous improvement;">
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including parents, community members, and local educational partners.">

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a school principal in a high-performing urban public school;">
  • A Bachelor's degree required; a graduate degree in education or a related field strongly preferred;">
  • Familiarity with Uncommon Schools' core tenets of instructional leadership and successful implementation of best practices;">
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;">
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities;">
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation, with a focus on improving student outcomes.">

Compensation and Benefits
