Role Overview

As a Hardware Qualification Engineer at Apple, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our battery systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute qualification plans, manage suppliers and test engineers, and analyze data to resolve technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute qualification plans for battery system hardware technology
  • Manage suppliers and test engineer teams for execution, data analysis, and resolving technical challenges
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality of battery packs from concept to mass production
  • Interpret and review electronic specifications, review and approve battery BMU and pack designs
  • Develop validation plans and test procedures, review schematics and layout to verify conformance to determine testability
  • Supervise test engineer team and vendor partners on validation execution, analyze, debug, and report test results
  • Conduct investigations and prepare reports for problems or issues, review simulations and calculations
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in analog or power electronics design, electronic circuit design/development with mixed signal systems
  • Preferred qualifications: Power Electronics, Battery Management, Portable Consumer Electronics, Medical Electronics, or Automotive Electronics
