Battery Hardware Qualification Engineer

At Apple, we're pushing the boundaries of what's possible with battery technology. As a Battery Hardware Qualification Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our battery systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute qualification plans for battery system hardware technology
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality of battery packs from concept to mass production
  • Interpret and review electronic specifications, and review and approve battery BMU and pack designs
  • Develop validation plans and test procedures, and supervise test engineer team and vendor partners on validation execution
  • Analyze, debug, and report test results, and conduct investigations and prepare reports for problems or issues
Requirements:
  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience in analog or power electronics design, and experience in electronic circuit design/development with mixed signal systems
  • Background in Power Electronics, Battery Management, Portable Consumer Electronics, Medical Electronics, or Automotive Electronics
  • Proficient with protocols like SMBus, I2C, SPMI, and experience with scripting for test automation and data analysis
