Hardware Qualification Specialist

About the RoleAs a Hardware Qualification Engineer at Apple, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our battery systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement qualification plans, manage suppliers and test engineers, and analyze data to resolve technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute qualification plans for battery system hardware technology
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality of battery packs from concept to mass production
- Review and approve battery BMU and pack designs
- Develop validation plans and test procedures
- Supervise test engineer team and vendor partners on validation execution
- Analyze and debug test results
- Conduct investigations and prepare reports for problems or issues
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience in analog or power electronics design
- Experience in electronic circuit design/development with mixed signal systems
- Background in Power Electronics, Battery Management, Portable Consumer Electronics, Medical Electronics, or Automotive Electronics
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout design for mixed signal boards
- Proficient with protocols like SMBus, I2C, SPMI
- Experience with scripting for test automation and data analysis
