Hardware Validation Engineer

At Apple, we're looking for a skilled Hardware Validation Engineer to join our Watch system validation team. As a key member of this team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that all new and existing hardware features are thoroughly validated on the bench and in our system stress rack.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead bench validation efforts, identifying key issues during the prototype phase and driving improvements in system design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define validation coverage and resolve issues.
  • Develop and execute scripts for the system stress rack to ensure the full system's stability under worst-case conditions.
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience in board level bring up and validation for a product system or silicon IC development board.
  • Strong familiarity with test & measurement equipment and high-fidelity signal probing techniques.
  • Understanding of how to validate system-facing aspects of an IC in a board design.
  • Basic understanding of Signal Integrity.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Typically requires at least 5+ years of experience.
  • Scripting in Python or similar language for test automation.
  • Experience performing PCB schematic and layout reviews to ensure specification compliance.
