Role Summary

As a Battery Hardware Qualification Engineer at Apple, you will play a critical role in qualifying the battery system hardware technology for next-generation consumer electronics. This involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality of the battery packs from concept to mass production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute qualification plans for battery system hardware technology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and reliability of battery packs.
  • Review and approve battery BMU and pack designs.
  • Develop validation plans and test procedures.
  • Supervise test engineer team and vendor partners on validation execution.
  • Analyze and debug test results.
  • Conduct investigations and prepare reports for problems or issues.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in analog or power electronics design.
  • Experience in electronic circuit design/development with mixed signal systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in Power Electronics, Battery Management, Portable Consumer Electronics, Medical Electronics, or Automotive Electronics.
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout design for mixed signal boards.
  • Proficient with protocols like SMBus, I2C, SPMI.
  • Experience with scripting for test automation and data analysis.
