Job Title: Clinical Dietitian

Massachusetts General Hospital(MGH) is seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Dietitian to provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for patients with various medical conditions.
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, including anthropometric measurements, lab results, and medical histories.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and coordinate with food service staff as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure patient-centered care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest nutrition research and guidelines to provide evidence-based care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and hospital processes.
  • Precept and instruct dietetic interns during their rotations and participate in their performance evaluation.
Requirements:
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Licensed Dietitian (LD) credential from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with diverse patient populations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
