Position Summary

The legal and regulatory team at Angle Health is dedicated to proactively managing legal challenges, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing expert counsel to support our mission of revolutionizing healthcare access.

As a Senior Corporate Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in various essential legal and regulatory projects. Your responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating agreements, supporting corporate governance, overseeing legal operations, advising on compliance matters, and assisting with risk management. As a versatile legal generalist, you will collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization and serve as a trusted advisor to navigate the complexities of innovation in a traditional industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Legal Research: Analyze updates to laws, regulations, and public policy, particularly in healthcare and health insurance, and provide insights on how these changes may impact business strategies and product development.
  • Cross-Functional Consultation: Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Client Success teams to deliver timely and critical legal guidance to support operational needs.
  • Relationship Building: Foster trusted partnerships with cross-functional teams and demonstrate a collaborative spirit to ensure project success.
  • Process Development: Establish and refine processes for the legal department, including the creation of playbooks, contract templates, and self-service workflows.
  • Adaptability: Be open to learning and addressing a wide range of legal matters, from intellectual property to commercial disputes.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a prominent law firm or in-house at a growing startup, with a strong emphasis on technology and healthcare sectors.
  • Experience with ERISA and/or employee health insurance benefits is essential.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a startup atmosphere and embracing significant responsibilities within an early-stage organization.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight in dynamic environments and adjust to evolving risk tolerances and operational challenges.
  • A strong desire for in-depth understanding—surface-level answers are not sufficient; you delve into details to uncover root causes.
  • A growth mindset, willing to learn, teach, lead, and collaborate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $230,000 annually, reflecting Angle Health's expectations at the time of this posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
