Position Summary

The legal and regulatory team at Angle Health plays a pivotal role in preemptively addressing legal challenges, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic counsel to facilitate our mission of enhancing healthcare access.

As a Senior Corporate Counsel, you will oversee essential legal and regulatory projects, which include drafting and negotiating agreements, supporting governance initiatives, managing legal operations, and advising on compliance and policy matters. Your expertise as a corporate generalist will be invaluable as you collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization, serving as a trusted legal advisor to navigate the complexities of innovation within a traditional industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Legal Research: Analyze changes in laws, regulations, and public policy, particularly those affecting healthcare and health insurance, and provide insights on their potential impact on business strategies and product development.
  • Cross-Functional Consultation: Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Client Success teams to deliver timely and critical legal guidance that supports operational success.
  • Relationship Building: Foster trusted partnerships with cross-functional teams and demonstrate a collaborative spirit to ensure project achievements.
  • Process Development: Establish and refine processes for the legal department, including the creation of playbooks, contract templates, and self-service workflows.
  • Adaptability: Exhibit a willingness to learn and address various legal matters, from intellectual property to commercial disputes.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a prominent law firm or in-house at a growing startup, with a strong preference for a focus on technology and healthcare sectors.
  • Experience with ERISA and/or employee health insurance benefits is essential.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a startup environment and readiness to take on significant responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight in dynamic settings and adapt to evolving risk profiles and operational challenges.
  • A strong intellectual curiosity—superficial answers are not sufficient; you delve into details to uncover root causes and gain comprehensive understanding.
  • A growth mindset with a commitment to learning, teaching, leading, and collaborating.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $230,000 annually, reflecting Angle Health's anticipated compensation at the time of this posting. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as location, qualifications, and experience.
