Job Overview

Prime Materials Recovery, Inc. is actively looking for a committed and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician. Our organization is recognized as a leading merchant and processor of non-ferrous metals and polymers in the United States.

Role Summary: The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the functionality of all equipment within the facility. This includes managing mechanical and electrical repairs, as well as maintaining the structural integrity of the building and its infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor equipment performance to identify potential issues.
  • Determine necessary parts for procurement following troubleshooting.
  • Keep an inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Request tools and supplies as needed.
  • Adjust machinery to guarantee optimal operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Interpret machine drawings, building plans, and electrical/plumbing schematics.
  • Establish a preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment and facility-related systems.
  • Execute equipment installations as specified by engineering directives.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in welding, plumbing, electrical work, compressed air systems, and process controls.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe maintenance workspace.
  • Operate forklifts and scissor lifts as required.

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A 2-Year Technical School certificate is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance is necessary.
  • Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs.
