Research Opportunity in Optical Imaging and Spectroscopy

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team at the Biophotonics Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Marquette University and Medical College of Wisconsin. The successful candidate will have significant experience in optical imaging and spectroscopy for biomedical applications, with a strong background in areas such as endoscopy, fluorescence imaging, optical microscopy, and optical spectroscopy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct independent or collaborative research on optical imaging and spectroscopy for cancer diagnosis, treatment evaluation, and therapeutic monitoring.
  • Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and reports.
  • Publish in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • Present research findings at national and international conferences.
  • Mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
Requirements:
  • Earned doctorate (or its foreign equivalent) or appropriate terminal degree.
  • Strong background in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, biophysics, or other relevant discipline.
  • Ability to conduct independent research and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
