About the RoleAs a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you'll be part of our Operations Maintenance team, supporting the repair and maintenance of material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building.
You'll have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. In addition, you'll mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.

Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) Selection ProcessThe RME selection process for Mechatronics & Robotics Technicians typically takes approximately 30 days.
The process consists of the following steps:
- Application submission and review
- Pre-employment assessment
- Criteria assessment
- Video interview
- Review and notification of next steps
As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
- Promoting a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
- Completing preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
- Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment
- Maintaining a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations facilities
- Tracking and storing department inventory
- Moving up to 49lbs and standing/walking during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
We offer various shift options, including:
- Front Half Day Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off, with a common pattern of Sunday to Wednesday
- Back Half Day Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off, often Wednesday to Saturday
- Front Half Night Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off, with a common pattern of Sunday to Wednesday
- Back Half Night Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off, often Wednesday to Saturday
To be eligible for this role, you must have:
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
While not required, having the following qualifications will be beneficial:
- Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions of building operations
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Willingness to learn and grow within Amazon RME
