Mechatronics & Robotics Technician - Daytona, Florida

As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you'll play a critical role in supporting our Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), which includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more
- Maintain a positive working relationship across all of the Amazon Operations facility
- Track and store department inventory
- Move up to 49lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation

Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) Selection ProcessThe RME selection process for Mechatronics & Robotics Technicians typically takes approximately 30 days and consists of the following steps:
- Congratulations You successfully submitted your application.
- Amazon Recruiting will review your application and invite the most qualified candidate to complete a pre-employment assessment.
- If you meet the role qualifications, you will receive an invitation from Amazon Recruiting (do-not-replycriteriacorp.com) to begin your Criteria assessment. You have 5 days to complete.
- Once you successfully meet the pre-employment assessment requirements, you will be invited to complete a video interview. Your video interview invitation will be from HireVue (interviewshirevue.com) and you will have 7 days to record your interview.
- Your video interview will be reviewed by the Amazon Hiring Team and you will be notified of next steps via email within 5 business days.
- 1 year of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- 2 years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- 2 years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment
- 2 years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading knowledge
- 2 years of experience demonstrating Safety Standards
- 1 year of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems
- Able to troubleshoot basic input and output function of building operations
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Willingness to learn and grow within Amazon RME
- Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards
- Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- 2 years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- 2 years of experience working with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based controls systems
- 2 years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles
- Experience with robotic operation and maintenance
