Job SummaryWe're seeking a Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to lead our service technicians in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. As a key member of our Operations Maintenance team, you'll design solutions for difficult problems, manage projects, and train and mentor service technicians. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining and troubleshooting all conveyor systems in the building.
Key Responsibilities- Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used
- Maintain positive working relationships across all Amazon Operations facilities
- Develop training plans for service technicians
- Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets
- Move up to 49lbs and stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation

The following are typical shifts in the Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician role:
Front Half Day ShiftThis shift typically starts in the morning and ends in the late afternoon, with a common pattern of working Sunday to Wednesday. For a 10-hour shift, this could be 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a half-hour break included.
Back Half Day ShiftThis shift often complements the Front Half Day Shift, working Wednesday to Saturday. The hours for this shift would also occur during daytime hours, typically from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a half-hour break.
Front Half Night ShiftThis shift can be arranged as per your needs, such as Sunday to Wednesday. The hours for this shift would occur during the night, with a typical schedule from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM, with a half-hour break.
Back Half Night ShiftThis shift would complement the Front Half Night Shift, working Wednesday to Saturday. The hours for this shift would also take place during the night, with a typical schedule from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM, with a half-hour break.
Requirements- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- 4+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- 4+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls
- 4+ years of Blueprint & Electrical Schematic knowledge
- Experience acting in a shift lead capacity that supports, trains, and mentors less experienced technicians
- Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards
- Able to troubleshoot basic input and output function of building operations
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders (Operations, Safety, etc.)
- Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- 4+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles
- 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- 2+ years of experience working with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based controls systems
- 2+ years of experience with robotic operation and maintenance
- Project Management experience
