Mechatronics & Robotics Technician - Amazon Stores

About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to join our team at Amazon Stores. As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and protocols.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
- Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Stores facilities.
- Track and store department inventory, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Move up to 49lbs and stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
We offer various shifts and schedules to accommodate different needs and preferences. Our typical shifts include:
- Front Half Day Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off, with a common pattern of working Sunday to Wednesday.
- Back Half Day Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off, often working Wednesday to Saturday.
- Front Half Night Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off, with a common pattern of working Sunday to Wednesday.
- Back Half Night Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off, often working Wednesday to Saturday.
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- 2+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
- 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment.
- 2+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading knowledge.
- 2+ years of experience demonstrating Safety Standards.
- 1+ years of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems.
- Able to troubleshoot basic input and output function of building operations.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Willingness to learn and grow within Amazon Stores.
- Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards.
- Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
- 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
- 2+ years of experience working with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based controls systems.
- 2+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
- Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.
