Mechatronics & Robotics Technician - Amazon Operations

To make this happen, we rely on our Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, who work tirelessly behind the scenes to drive continuous improvement and maintain all of our Robotics and Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
Job SummaryWe're seeking a skilled Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Operations Maintenance team, you'll use your expertise to repair and maintain MHE and pneumatic systems throughout our building. You'll also have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more
- Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations facilities
- Track and store department inventory
- Move up to 49lbs and stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- 2+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- 2+ years of experience in the repair of MHE, automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment
- 2+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading knowledge
- Able to troubleshoot basic input and output function of building operations
- Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards
- Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- 2+ years of experience working with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based controls systems
- 2+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles
- Experience with robotic operation and maintenance
