SEASONAL RETAIL ASSOCIATE POSITION
Madhappy is a clothing brand based in Los Angeles, dedicated to fostering a community of optimists since its inception in 2017.

Through our apparel, events, and innovative retail environments, we aim to promote personal expression as a pathway to enhanced mental well-being.

Our brand offers a diverse range of timeless styles, seasonal collections, and collaborative pieces.

We are committed to supporting mental health research and awareness through The Madhappy Foundation, a registered non-profit organization, and we publish Local Optimist, a print magazine.

About the Role
We are seeking both part-time and full-time seasonal retail associates for our store.

In this role, you will be tasked with delivering exceptional service to all customers, upholding operational excellence within the store, and embodying the values of Madhappy.

You will report directly to the store supervisor and manager.

This position will be based at our new location, which is set to open soon.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain a strong focus on the brand, consistently fostering engagement, knowledge, and enthusiasm among the store team.

Greet and connect with every customer, addressing inquiries, guiding them to products, and suggesting styles that align with their preferences.

Build and nurture relationships with returning customers, engaging with them before and after their visits.
Gather and relay customer feedback to the leadership team to inform key stakeholders.
Ensure the store's visual appeal by maintaining product presentation standards.
Keep the store tidy by cleaning fitting rooms, displays, and ensuring organization.
Understand merchandising and product placement to provide a welcoming shopping experience.
Handle incoming, outgoing, and transferred shipments, including online orders and inter-store transfers.
Collaborate closely with the store manager to maintain open communication within the team.
About You
Qualifications
1+ years of experience in retail.
Preference for candidates with a background in fashion/apparel.
Experience working in a small team setting is preferred.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to commit to the duration of the store's operational period.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to communicate effectively and professionally.
Familiarity with the Madhappy brand and its mission is a plus.
Characteristics
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-traffic retail environment.
Detail-oriented and culturally aware.
Interest in fashion/apparel and mental health advocacy.
Integrity and honesty are essential.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required.
Digital literacy and an interest in navigating social media and e-commerce platforms.
