Property Maintenance Technician

Rutherford Management Company is actively seeking a skilled Property Maintenance Technician to manage maintenance operations across multiple properties in the South Bay region. The ideal candidate will be adept at performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including handling work orders, conducting unit turnovers, and ensuring the upkeep of grounds, amenities, and communal areas to maintain the quality of living for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and manage service requests to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Document completed service requests and detail the turnover of units, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Assist with installations and routine property maintenance duties.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of general maintenance experience is required.
- At least one year of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Proficient knowledge and skills in plumbing, appliance repair, electrical work, lock replacement, drywall repair, and carpentry.
- Experience in painting is preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with building materials and tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a customer service-oriented environment and follow instructions accurately.
- Bi-lingual candidates are strongly preferred.
- Computer literacy is required.
Work Environment:
Work hours are generally from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, though adjustments may occur during peak periods or special projects. On-call duties may involve responding to emergency service requests outside of regular hours.
Daily travel between properties is necessary for technicians assigned to multiple locations, along with attendance at company training events and meetings.
Compensation and Benefits:
