Position Summary:
McCarthy & Holthus is in search of a dedicated and proficient Commercial Property Maintenance Technician to enhance our Facilities Management team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining and preserving our commercial properties. The successful candidate will possess a diverse skill set in repair and maintenance tasks, demonstrating the ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and address maintenance concerns efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute general maintenance duties, including drywall restoration, painting, flooring, and carpet installation.
- Perform minor plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs, ensuring optimal functionality of all systems.
- Resolve repair issues related to doors, locks, windows, and other structural components.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify problems proactively.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of building interiors and exteriors, including lobbies, restrooms, communal areas, and outdoor environments.
- Manage waste disposal, sweeping, mopping, power washing, and light landscaping tasks.
- Guarantee that parking lots, walkways, and entrances are tidy and secure.
- Monitor and replenish supplies in restrooms and shared spaces as necessary.
- Be available for emergency maintenance situations and respond swiftly to urgent issues.
- Uphold a safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment for events and operational requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- At least 2 years of experience in a comparable role, ideally within a commercial property management context.
- Proven capability in performing tasks such as drywall repair, painting, flooring, and general maintenance services.
- Required experience with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with a variety of tools and power equipment.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
- Ability to interpret and follow instructions and technical documentation.
- Valid driver's license.
- Capability to provide references or examples of previous work.
- Availability for emergency calls outside of standard working hours.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 80 lbs.
- Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
Work Hours:
Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with availability for emergency calls as needed.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation: $28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Work Environment:
