Data Center Technician Job Description

At Syntricate Technologies, we are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of servers, networks, and other related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, racks, and other related equipment.
  • Monitor network traffic and server performance, troubleshooting and rectifying issues to minimize downtime.
  • Implement and monitor security protocols to protect data from unauthorized access, malware, and breaches.
  • Ensure data is backed up regularly and be prepared to restore data from backups in case of data loss.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records of all maintenance activities, software versions, hardware configurations, and other relevant data using DCIM software.

Requirements:
  • Technical proficiency in servers, networks, and related equipment.
  • Problem-solving skills to diagnose and fix issues quickly.
  • Attention to detail to prevent minor issues from becoming significant problems.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, vendors, and clients.
