Job Summary:

Data Center Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of data center hardware and infrastructure. This includes servers, networking devices, and cabling infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with server/storage/network hardware, excellent time management skills, and be able to lift 75 lbs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, remove, and troubleshoot hardware in data center racks without disturbing other hardware and critical infrastructure on site.
  • Maintain asset inventory and update internal application as needed.
  • Be accessible via cell phone and willing to work on onsite emergencies as needed.
  • Participate and complete training that aligns with corporate objectives to bridge skill gaps and learn new relevant technologies.
  • Act within Service Level Agreements (SLA) on the tickets assigned to you in your space.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of server/storage/network hardware.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Diligent with excellent organizational skills.
  • Be a great teammate.
  • Strong curiosity about learning new DC concepts.
  • Conscientious and trustworthy.
  • Process-oriented.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-year or 4-year degree or relevant work experience.
  • 2+ Years of Data Center Experience.
  • Linux administration knowledge/Ability to run Linux commands.
  • Data center networking knowledge.
  • Experience in Data Center Infrastructure projects.
  • 1 year+ experience in Structured Cabling Copper/Fiber and testing of cables.
  • 1 year+ experience in Cooling and Electrical systems concepts inside the data center.
