Data Center Security Systems Manager

The Global Physical Security (GPS) Data Center Systems Team is responsible for managing technology that enables the GPS Operations Data Center Team to provide physical protection to Data Center property, assets, and infrastructure.
Oracle utilizes internal owned Data Center locations and third-party external Data Centers managed by co-location service providers.
We are seeking an experienced security professional to join our team as a Data Center Security Systems Manager.
This position will be responsible for the development, leadership, and management of a dedicated service team located onsite in Abilene, TX, USA.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Global Data Center Security Systems, who is based in the UK.
Periodic regional travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational direction and oversight to ensure the GPS strategic initiatives, in relation to the Data Center operational security program, are maintained consistently.
- Manage the Regional Data Center Security Systems Service Desk, closely managing all elements of service from ticket creation through to resolution.
- Provide mentoring, development, and guidance to junior service team members.
- Provides monthly service ticket statistical data and analysis thereof.
- Meets customer service financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing the annual service budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Works closely with cross-functional support teams to ensure that service is compliant with all requirements.
- Provides technical support for Lenel Access Control and CCTV, Key management, and all other technical systems as required.
- Partnership with Oracle Lines of Business and external audit regulatory bodies to ensure physical security compliance with diverse auditory requirements.
- Customer Service - providing quality advice to Oracle employees on all aspects of Physical Security as it applies to Data Center security.
- Maintains recognized industry standard physical and technical security best practices by ensuring a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- At least 10 years' experience within the security industry, ideally having gained experience as an installation / repair engineer in the field.
- Possesses a proven track record in both Service Desk Management and Supplier Management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience successfully managing Physical Security Systems Service Desk teams within Data Center environments, providing team leadership, mentoring and management.
- Must be self-motivated, but equally comfortable working within a team or alone and requiring minimal supervision.
- Must be a team player, ideally with global exposure to working with individuals from different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate and articulate with a high level of proficiency in both the written and verbal format at all levels, up to and including Corporate Executive leadership.
- Strong understanding of industry-specific service and compliance requirements as they apply to physical security systems maintenances in general and specific to data center security systems.
- A working knowledge of various security technology resources including Lenel OnGuard access control and IP camera systems.
- Proficient with all basic Microsoft computer software programs and communications techniques.
- Oversees annual Alarm Reduction and System Health Check programs.
- Detailed knowledge of Lenel OnGuard is essential, and exposure to Milestone IP CCTV, AXIS CCTV solutions, Intruder Alarm Systems and additional Access Control Systems are extremely desirable.
