About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at The Spine and Orthopedic Center. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced orthopedic office setting, where you will be responsible for rooming patients, fielding authorization calls, scheduling appointments, collecting labs, and assisting providers with patient flow.

This position also includes covering the front desk reception area as needed during staff turn-around times. If you have exceptional organizational skills, excellent computer skills, and a willingness to learn, we encourage you to apply.

Estimated Salary

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.

The Spine and Orthopedic Center is a well-established private practice specializing in orthopedic, spine, neurology, and pain management. We have 4 offices throughout Southern California and are committed to providing high-quality care to our patients.

Job Responsibilities
  • Rooming patients and preparing them for procedures
  • Fielding authorization calls and communicating with insurance companies
  • Scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate schedules
  • Collecting labs and other medical records
  • Assisting providers with patient flow and answering phones
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an orthopedic office setting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
