Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Customer Service Representative/Trainer to join our team at Michigan Farm Bureau. As a key member of our Field Force, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, training, and support to our agents and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive customer service to agents and customers, including answering and resolving policy issues, and assisting with billing and insurance coverages.
  • Train and support Field Customer Service Representatives, Agent Staff, and Agents on all lines of business and products.
  • Oversee daily office operations, including creating and managing employee schedules, ordering office supplies, and adhering to budget.
  • Proactively research and resolve policy issues, and take ownership of complaints and inquiries.
  • Accept and apply payments from customers, and handle all monies according to money handling procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • Active P/C license required or must be successfully obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Keyboarding skills with accuracy required.
  • Willingness to pursue continuing job-related training and education required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree preferred with focus on business administration, FBCISR, AINS, CIC, management, insurance, or finance.
  • Minimum one year of experience in insurance processing preferred.
  • One-year professional office experience and customer service preferred.
