Maintenance Operations Manager

The Maintenance Manager is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our plastic injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, automation, and plant facility.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the repair, upkeep, and refurbishment of all associated manufacturing equipment, including large tonnage injection molding machines, molds, extruders, robots, decorating equipment, and additional support and auxiliary equipment.
- Implement and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to national expectations.
- Develop and execute a strategy for the maintenance department aligned with SQCDP and continuous improvement goals.
- Lead a technical team of maintenance professionals, ensuring timely and quality completion of assignments, and actively participating in plant safety improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to find permanent solutions to recurring problems or issues, and participate in root cause analysis of downtime events.
- Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree with 10 years of experience in maintenance management.
- SMRP/Reliability Engineering certification preferred.
- Injection molding experience preferred, with specific experience with Krauss Maffei machines a plus.
- Experience managing a technical team and with robotics and automation, Allen Bradley PLC controls is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with planning and scheduling a large team within a CMMS.
- Experience with Lean methodologies, including 5S, kaizen, Kanban, visual controls, root cause analysis, and problem solving.
- Strong industrial electricity and hydraulic system knowledge, with emphasis on safe work practices (OSHA, NEC, etc.).
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
