Maintenance Technician Job Description

Job Summary: Martin Marietta is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Sunflower Quarry. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our surface mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and repair equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues
  • Lubricate and maintain equipment to extend its lifespan
  • Perform welding and fabrication activities as needed
  • Work in a team environment to achieve maintenance goals

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred
  • Previous maintenance experience preferred
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of MSHA regulations
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance
