Position: Legal Assistant - Commercial Real Estate

A prominent national law firm is seeking a skilled legal assistant specializing in commercial real estate. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience and a strong understanding of the legal landscape in this sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit matter initiation documents.
  • Conduct conflict checks and draft engagement agreements.
  • Draft, proofread, format, and edit legal correspondence, pleadings, memoranda, agreements, and other essential documents under tight deadlines.
  • Organize and file documents from clients and various sources into the document management system.
  • Process expense reimbursements.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to collect necessary information for file management.
  • Provide assistance to legal assistants, paralegals, and attorneys as needed.
  • Manage document filing within the system.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of experience as a paralegal in commercial real estate.
  • Proven experience with conflict checks, engagement letters, and preparing closing binders.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology specific to real estate.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, PDF software, Adobe Pro, and document version control.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in proofreading and redlining legal documents.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of administrative procedures and systems.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience with Litera is a plus.
