Job Summary

The Senior Content Editor will be responsible for editing, producing, and performing quality assurance on PitchBook Data's content, including articles, newsletters, and data visualizations. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for business and finance news.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to develop and implement content strategies
  • Edit and fact-check content for spelling, grammar, readability, accuracy, and adherence to PitchBook Data's style guide
  • Support the development of data visualizations and other multimedia content
  • Train and mentor junior editors and writers
  • Use project management tools to plan and execute publication processes
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage content placement and sponsored content
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of editing experience in a deadline-driven environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with financial markets, terminology, and content
  • Previous experience working with data or data-driven content
  • Previous experience working in a newsroom or similar fast-paced environment
Benefits and Compensation

PitchBook Data offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) matching program. The annual base salary for this role is $72,000-$90,000, with a target annual bonus percentage of 10%.

Working Conditions

The Senior Content Editor will work in a standard office setting, using a PC and phone on an ongoing basis. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
