About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Producer to join our team at the Internal Revenue Service. As a Web Producer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining our online presence, ensuring that our website is user-friendly, accessible, and meets the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze web traffic, customer feedback, and other metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Plan and implement web content management system upgrades to ensure seamless user experience.
  • Develop and publish web pages, ensuring content and design adhere to web standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify content display issues and web content management system problems.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through written reports and presentations.
Requirements
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression, GS-7.
  • Experience analyzing, evaluating, and making recommendations to problems affecting large websites.
  • Experience planning and analyzing policy in the assessment and improvement of management processes and systems.
  • Experience using web publishing technologies, including WYSIWYG editors and hand coding HTML markup.
  • Experience with web best practices, including user experience, responsive platforms, and accessibility standards.
  • Experience producing and formatting web content with attention to detail.
  • Experience developing websites and discussing and resolving problems with experts.
Education

A Master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field of study at an accredited college or university may be substituted for specialized experience.

Additional Information

This is a bargaining unit position. The tour of duty for this position is a day shift, with start and stop times between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Alternative work schedule, staggered work hours, or telework may be available.

Telework eligible positions do not guarantee telework. Employees must meet and sustain IRS telework eligibility requirements and supervisor's approval to participate in the IRS Telework Program.
