Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Coordinator for Conferences and Events to join our team at Facing History and Ourselves, Inc. This role will be responsible for planning and executing conferences, meetings, and other events from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop comprehensive conference programs that cover all aspects of the event.
  • Collaborate with the team to plan, budget, and select vendors for conferences and events.
  • Select venue locations and arrange for facilities, audio-visual equipment, catering, and transportation.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all conference-related inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, sponsors, and attendees.
  • Create and execute conference marketing plans, including email campaigns, social media efforts, and advertising.
  • Manage the registration process and maintain accurate attendee records.
  • Facilitate and manage all aspects of the event, including setup, registration, keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and catering.
  • Provide post-conference reporting and analysis, including attendee feedback, budget reconciliation, and vendor evaluation.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in event planning and coordination or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain focus, motivation, and communication with others in a remote environment.
  • Disciplined self-starter and independent worker with creative energy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software.
  • Ability to lift 25+ pounds.
