Position Overview

  • We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Bodily Injury Claims Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role primarily involves investigating, assessing, and negotiating bodily injury claims to ensure equitable and prompt resolutions. The ideal candidate will possess a solid grasp of insurance policies, medical terminology, and the legal frameworks governing bodily injury claims.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive investigations into bodily injury claims, which includes analyzing medical records, police documentation, and witness accounts.
  • As you enhance your skill set, you will manage some litigated cases, although this will not be your primary focus.
  • Assess the severity of injuries and establish liability based on policy provisions, state laws, and legal precedents.
  • Engage with claimants, legal representatives, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to collect essential information and documentation.
  • Evaluate medical reports and invoices to determine the nature and extent of injuries and establish suitable compensation.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants and their representatives in line with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, legal advisors, and management to resolve intricate claims and minimize risk.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive claim files, documentation, and activity logs in accordance with company protocols and industry best practices.
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation, regulations, and industry developments related to bodily injury claims management.
  • Ensure all demand evaluations are reviewed and submitted to your supervisor for approval within a timely manner.
  • All initial offers must be extended promptly, adhering to company guidelines.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the insurance sector.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in bodily injury claims adjusting or a related field.
  • Experience with California and non-standard auto insurance is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of insurance principles, policies, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and injury evaluation.
  • Outstanding analytical and decision-making abilities, with a knack for assessing complex situations and negotiating fair settlements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in claims management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
The compensation range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
