POSITION SUMMARY

The Employee Engagement Manager plays a pivotal role in addressing team member concerns and guiding leadership through intricate HR challenges in alignment with company policies.

This position serves as a specialist in performance management, providing insights that help mitigate potential risks.

This individual contributor role collaborates closely with business leaders and the People Strategy team to enhance the overall team member experience.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the go-to expert on employee relations within Rock Connections, managing all related discussions, including but not limited to:
• Offer guidance and support for general inquiries and concerns from team members and leaders.

• Oversee communication and logistics regarding disciplinary actions and separations, consulting with relevant stakeholders.

• Provide coaching and performance management advice to leaders, suggesting solutions for HR scenarios and escalating issues when necessary.
• Assist in evaluating risks and identifying resources in team member mental health situations.
• Regularly engage with business leaders to implement proactive performance management strategies and address team concerns.

• Develop and conduct listening initiatives, both individually and organization-wide (engagement surveys, stay interviews, exit interviews, etc.), identify trends, and propose actionable recommendations.

• Collaborate with the Talent & Organizational Development Director to align leader and team member needs with professional development and training opportunities.

• Proactively identify avenues to enhance the team member experience and contribute to the development and implementation of innovative solutions.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience (required)
• Approximately 7 years of relevant HR experience (required)
• Professional HR Certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, etc. preferred)
• Must be able to work in-office 4 days per week, Monday through Thursday

• Strong presentation, group facilitation, consulting, and influencing skills across all organizational levels
• Organized and detail-oriented, able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and execute effectively

• Knowledgeable in relevant employment laws such as the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), etc.

• Well-versed in foundational principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and HRIS/workforce management platforms (e.g., Lattice and Workday)
