About the RoleThe Senior Director of Development will develop, plan, manage, and implement strategies for increasing unrestricted, restricted, and planned gifts for the College of Nursing and across the University. This includes managing and maintaining a strategic donor portfolio, cultivating, soliciting, and closing major gifts in the 6-figure to 8-figure range.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to increase gifts for the College of Nursing and the University
- Manage and maintain a strategic donor portfolio, including cultivating, soliciting, and closing major gifts
- Engage high-level volunteers through activities such as the dean's advisory council and staffing meetings
- Coordinate engagement opportunities, develop transformational gift opportunities, and oversee successful stewardship planning
- Collaborate with other UDAR fundraisers to maximize philanthropic activity and create effective cultivation and solicitation strategies
- 7+ years of experience in nonprofit philanthropy and development, with a track record of successfully soliciting 6-figure and 7-figure gifts
- Experience managing volunteer groups and staff who support development goals
- Excellent organization and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively multi-task large-scale projects
- Ability to interact successfully with a diverse group of individuals
- Master's Degree or completion of a fundraising certificate program
- Knowledge of Blackbaud/Sunguard and Evertrue database systems
New York University offers a competitive salary range of $150,000.00 to $190,000.00 per year, as well as a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities for professional growth and development.
