In this role, you will be responsible for meticulously organizing and tracking Political Expenditures for all TEGNA clients, serving as a key liaison between competitive tracking contacts at our agency partners. As the Sales Support Specialist, you will provide essential assistance to the Sales team and the Sales Fulfillment department, contributing to various aspects of the sales process while ensuring excellent management of client accounts.

*Please Note: Due to the political nature of this role, new hires should anticipate working extended hours intermittently leading up to election periods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document all political activities for all TEGNA stations, both local and national.
  • Thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating urgency and meeting established deadlines.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Manage order entry, maintain client schedules, track audience delivery, create presentations, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Resolve discrepancies promptly and effectively.
  • Provide comprehensive support to the sales organization.
  • Ensure all orders comply with standardized TEGNA coding for precise corporate reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with TEGNA Sales Management to guarantee accuracy, continuity, and adherence to sales deadlines.
  • Engage actively with TEGNA's sales platforms (WideOrbit Traffic, WideOrbit Media Sales, WideOrbit Connect, etc.).
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in account engagement within a professional, fast-paced sales environment.
  • Prior experience with WideOrbit is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to adapt swiftly to changes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in computer software/applications, including Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Compensation:

$19-$23 USD
