About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Documentation Negotiator to join our Office of General Counsel at Brown Brothers Harriman. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in coordinating and negotiating documentation requests, ensuring seamless execution of our foreign exchange business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Documentation Coordination: Field documentation requests, liaise with risk, credit, and business contacts to prepare initial drafts, review and negotiate documentation within established parameters, and manage documentation flow.
  • Support of Documentation Unit: Assist in enhancing and managing existing template documentation, creating new templates and negotiation guides, and participating in internal working groups to improve documentation efficiency.
  • Firm-Wide Initiatives: Support firm-wide and departmental initiatives, staying abreast of regulatory developments, and maintaining constant communication with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • BA/BS required; JD a plus.
  • Minimum three years' experience as an ISDA Master Agreement contract negotiator, documentation specialist, and/or paralegal.
  • Excellent oral and written skills, organizational and research skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, good judgment, personal initiative, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience handling multiple tasks and projects concurrently, managing client expectations, and working in a fast-paced environment.
