Job Summary

Axle is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Program Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Laboratory of Clinical Immunology and Microbiology (LCIM), Division of Intramural Research (DIR).

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and manage patient document checklists, intake forms, and scheduling systems.
  • Coordinate patient travel and accommodations, including processing travel vouchers and arranging lodging.
  • Request and deliver medical records, pathology slides, and other clinical materials.
  • Assist patients with obtaining extended visitor passes and direct them to the NIH Clinical Center Badging station.
  • Prepare consent documents and send originals to medical records.
  • Provide detailed patient visit schedules and confirm appointments in NIH CRIMSON calendars.
  • Deliver clinical documents and CDs to the medical legal department and film library.
  • Complete electronic and paper copies of pre-admission forms for pediatric and adult day hospitals.
  • Enter outpatient clinic electronic appointment requests and pre-admission forms.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, case managers, study coordinators, and principal investigators.
  • Schedule foreign language and sign language interpretation services as needed.
  • Coordinate volunteer payments and shipping of sample kits and packages.
  • Assist research staff with safety and regulatory monitoring/audit preparation.
  • Screen calls and update patient telephone directories.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in a related field.
  • Good communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to complete security and training for NIH databases and software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
  • Experience with NIH's CRIMSON and CRIS software preferred.
