Position Overview:

The Opportunity

Fidelity Investments is in search of a remarkable Lead Front End Architect to enhance our UI platform team within Workplace Investing.

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with your team members to create exceptional user experiences and establish the standards for front-end engineering excellence. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, and implementing components, capabilities, tools, and products that empower digital teams, while also contributing to the evolution of our monorepos.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Over 6 years of practical experience as a front-end software engineer, particularly with modern JavaScript frameworks, with a strong emphasis on Angular.
  • At least 1 year of experience utilizing Nx workspace and a solid understanding of monorepos.
  • Proven technical leadership, with experience in creating design documentation and executing solutions for agile teams.
  • Strong analytical skills paired with a commitment to personal and professional growth, engaging in technical and design discussions with peers.
  • A forward-thinking approach to developing scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Ability to learn swiftly, adapt, and excel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated capability to mentor and guide technology associates.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, collaboration, and influencing abilities.

Your Technical Background:

  • Proficiency in Angular, Typescript, HTML, CSS, SCSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with GraphQL and RESTful services.
  • Familiarity with NX Workspace.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest and Playwright.
  • Experience with Web Components and Component Architecture.
  • Proficient in using Storybook.
  • Familiarity with GIT and Jenkins or similar build tools.
  • Experience in managing shared libraries and working with design systems.

Desirable Skills:

  • Understanding of WCAG 2.1+ and AA/AAA Standards.
  • Familiarity with AWS S3.
