Job Overview:

Position Summary

As a Lead Software Architect within the Platform Engineering Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing shared functionalities that facilitate projects across various engineering divisions at Fidelity Digital AssetsSM. Key responsibilities include developing solutions for messaging and leader election, and this role requires active coding and steering of technical strategies.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is mandatory.
  • Over 8 years of experience in architecting and developing large-scale production distributed systems for public-facing applications.
  • Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot is advantageous.
  • A strong enthusiasm for creating shared libraries and services that enhance engineering team productivity.
  • Capability to develop dependable software that performs well in unpredictable environments.
  • Previous experience in designing APIs and robust messaging services.
  • Familiarity with AWS service architecture and solution methodologies is preferred.
  • Expertise in databases and SQL is essential.
  • Experience in building and deploying applications using CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
