Position Summary
The Director of Architecture will take a pivotal role in steering the comprehensive technical framework and will be accountable for the holistic solution architecture within Fidelity Institutional Technology, specifically focusing on the Wealth Management Services sector. This role involves collaboration with Business/Product Sponsors, Agile Teams, and fellow Architects while spearheading the digital transformation initiatives at Fidelity Institutional Technology.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Over a decade of professional experience in architecture, analytics, design, and development of enterprise-level solutions across various technology platforms, frameworks, and programming languages.
- Proven ability to offer technical guidance, create design documentation, and implement solutions for agile teams. You will lead the design and ownership of end-to-end solutions architecture, clearly communicating the design to product owners, agile teams, and architectural leadership.
- Capability to collaborate with multiple teams to produce architectural documentation, facilitate issue resolution, develop wellness plans, and outline product roadmaps.
- Expertise in analyzing business objectives, comprehending long-term visions, and assessing the risks and benefits of strategic technical solutions.
- Skill in fostering and sustaining productive relationships with product owners, architects, and technical leads for various products and applications.
- Extensive knowledge of APIs, user interfaces, infrastructure, data architecture, security protocols, and emerging technologies.
- In-depth understanding of the agile development methodology and DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated software development experience with proficiency in client-side technologies (Angular/React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS) and substantial experience with Java, Java EE/Jakarta EE, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, and web application technologies.
- A genuine enthusiasm for technology, embracing a wide array of languages and frameworks.
- Experience with cloud technologies and methodologies, including the development and deployment of applications using AWS, Azure, or both. Cloud certification is a plus.
