Job Overview

We are seeking a Shop Laborer for a reputable metal fabrication firm. The Shop Laborer will engage in various labor tasks and support operations within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure and cut raw aluminum to specified dimensions.
  • Maintain coolant levels for all machinery.
  • Perform routine cleaning duties including emptying scrap bins, sweeping, and trash disposal.
  • Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks to transport materials.
  • Unpack and organize materials for proper labeling.
  • Assist with additional tasks as directed by the shop supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in using a tape measure.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, and hand tools is preferred.
  • Must have steel-toed boots.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
Compensation and Schedule:
  • Workdays: Monday - Friday
  • Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Pay Rate: $16 - $20 per hour
  • Overtime opportunities available
