Key Responsibilities:


Your role will involve leveraging your systems engineering expertise to support the development, integration, deployment, and maintenance of our advanced airborne Communications Intelligence (COMINT) and Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) systems.

You will be a vital member of multi-disciplinary engineering teams, engaging in real-world projects that encompass:

1. Technical research, concept validation, trade studies, requirements management, product design, technical documentation, and presentations.

2. Drafting technical proposals and responding to requests for information (RFI), including the preparation of technical volumes and Basis of Estimates (BOEs).

3. Developing system integration and testing plans for both laboratory and field environments for demonstration and requirement validation.

4. Overseeing system deployments (installation, integration, validation, and verification), which may require travel to customer locations.


Support the program office (program manager and chief engineer) and assist with strategic planning as needed.


Learning Opportunities:


You will gain insights into COMINT/ELINT principles and collaborate with industry-leading experts to design and implement state-of-the-art airborne ISR systems.


Essential Qualifications:


Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in Systems Engineering related to the development and maintenance of airborne COMINT and ELINT systems.

Experience in developing and maintaining airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems for the U.S. Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community.


Willingness to travel up to 30%-40% to support customer meetings and system deployments.


Proven experience in producing engineering deliverables such as system/subsystem descriptions, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), hardware and software specifications, acceptance test plans, and reports.

Familiarity with all phases of the product development lifecycle (CONOPS, requirements, design, implementation, integration, testing, verification, deployment).

Experience with laboratory and field testing and troubleshooting of software-defined radios at the hardware, software, and firmware levels.

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with the ability to effectively engage with team members, peers, and leadership.

U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI or higher clearance is essential.


Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
Current DoD TS or TS/SCI with Full-Scope Poly or current SSBI.

Experience leading technical teams and managing priorities within budget and schedule constraints.

Demonstrated experience with the integration of airborne ISR systems.

Experience in ELINT/COMINT Systems Engineering related to digital signal processing, waveform development, and software-defined radio architectures.

Experience developing BOEs for technical proposals.

Experience in delivering major technical review presentations/briefings (PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.).

Familiarity with program configuration control boards (CCBs).

Practical experience with antennas, RF propagation, and receivers as they relate to subsystem-level analysis methodologies.

Experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar scripting languages in a Linux environment.

Familiarity with version control and defect tracking tools (Git, JIRA, etc.).

Familiarity with control accounts (CAs) and earned-value management (EVM) in government contracts.
